Neon Understory

Neon Understory builds a dense field of repeated hand-painted marks across saturated teal, magenta, violet and acid yellow. Branching biomorphic structures gather around a sweeping central current, shifting between vegetation, coral, figure and imagined landscape. The repeated marks create a textile-like rhythm at close range, while the larger gestures hold a strong graphic presence from across a room. Painted by Iremsu Hersek in Belgrade in 2026, the work extends her interest in pattern, movement and open-ended narrative.
